3 & 4 year olds

We offer a rising 3's class when your little one turns 3, and a Preschool class for the year before they go to school.

Funded hours

All 3 year old's are entitled to 15 hours of government funding per week, depending on your employment status, you could be entitled to 30 hours per week. You don't have to use the full 15 or 30 hours a week if you feel your little one isn't ready for that, come for a visit to find out how it could work for you. Find out more about 3 year funding here: https://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/education/early-years-childcare/early-learning-free-places/increase-free-childcare-30hours/free-childcare-for-three-and-four-year-olds.aspx

Term time or stretched funding

You can choose whether to use your funded hours during term time only, or to stretch them over the 50 weeks a year that we are open, whichever suits your best. If you are stretching your hours, we can work out your weekly entitlement dependent upon what time of year you stretch from. There is no restriction on which session times you use your hours for, we can be flexible depending on your need.

Wrap around care

If you need more hours with us per week than your funded hours allocation, we can offer wrap around care at affordable prices. We work with each family to work out the most cost effective way of using your hours before topping up with paid for hours. The government also has schemes in place to help with child care costs, find out more here: https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/

Half term fun

We often offer play sessions during half term breaks and summer holidays. This helps some children with staying in a routine, gives you a bit of time to get some of your 'to do' list done, or just have 5 minutes peace!
